Property Management

Similarly to tags they can be assigned to both documents and highlights. Properties are useful when you need to enforce a certain hierarchy in your classification and you need more flexibility than with tags.

You can find the properties manager in the main application menu:

Properties can be managed in a similar way as tags:

  • you can create new properties
  • you can rename existing property names & values
  • you can delete all instances of a property with all of its values
  • you can delete all instances of a single property value

Merging of properties can be achieved by renaming existing property names or values to another property's name or value.

You might notice that the same property value is listed more than once.

Property types

Properties have separate types, similarly to tags - the type determines which operations are available

Imported properties

When importing properties via integrations (for example from Typeform or our own API) you can use the properties manager to rename and automatically hide them in one step. Imported properties will then stop being visible in search, classification, and charts, but can still be searched for and used in rules.

Automated properties

Properties automatically assigned by rules cannot be removed or renamed - if you want to make any changes to them, you'll have to edit the rule which assigns the property.

Manually assigned properties

Manually assigned properties, are as the name suggests - properties added by EnjoyHQ users either by assigning them to a single highlight or document or a group of them via batch editing.
